For the longest time, we thought that 2K Sports would be discontinuing its Major League Baseball game series. At least, that’s what they indicated in the past. However, today, the company announced that they are, in fact, returning to the old ball game.
Major League Baseball 2K13 is deep in development, and will be coming out for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 5th. The game will feature Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price on the cover, and the Million Dollar Challenge that always gets attention from the fans will return, offering a cool mill to anyone that can complete a perfect game first.
No other features have been discussed as of yet, but you can probably expect the return of the franchise mode, as well as online play and other stuff to mess around with.
“We know fans are extremely passionate about the MLB 2K series,” said Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports, indicating the reason why 2K opted to bring the series back.
We’ll have a more detailed preview for you soon. In the meantime, play ball!
