Madden NFL 25 Upgrade Incentives for Next-Generation Consoles

The publisher gives fans a great reason to trade up.

EA Sports knows there are some folks who won’t hesitate to buy Madden NFL 25 next month, while there will be a few hold-overs that wait until the next-generation version rolls out this fall. That isn’t stopping the publisher from offering a little incentive for those who make the jump.

It was announced today that bonus perks will be offered for those who purchase the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 versions of the game, then upgrade to the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 versions.  Along with getting a higher quality product, you’ll also be able to perform a one-time transfer of up to 1,100 items in Madden Ultimate Team to the new edition.  Better still, you can still use them in the original game, though cards can’t be auctioned or traded following the transfer.

Those who plunk down the cash on the Anniversary Edition will also receive an additional six All Pro card packs for use in the next-gen version once a team is created in Career Mode.

Madden NFL 25 will release August 27th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and sometime later this year for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
