With all of the new Run Free moves in Madden NFL 25, having a great HB will be more important than ever. Gamers who commit to running the ball will have more success if they are handing it off to a superstar in the backfield. There are a few styles you should consider when looking at players from this list. Some backs are more elusive and use their speed and agility to avoid and break tackles. Other backs tend to be more powerful and can use their strength to truck defenders and break tackles. The best have a combination of both and are even capable of catching passes out of the backfield, too. If you can get a star HB on your team, it will ease up pressure on your QB and force the defense to prove they can stop the run.
