Hobbit fever couldn’t be any higher than it is right now…
While we wait for the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in theaters on December 14th, Warner Bros. and Monolith Productions will keep us busy with their battle-heavy MOBA game Lord of the Rings: Guardians of Middle-Earth. The multiplayer action/strategy game will officially arrive on PlayStation Network on December 4th, with a release to follow on Xbox 360 “fall 2012”.
The game will be released in two formats. People will be able to buy the game digitally for $15 (1200 Microsoft points) on release day, or they can buy a retail edition for $24.99, featuring the inclusion of a Season Pass for downloadable content, as well as additional goodies. The DLC hasn’t been given a physical date as of yet, but we should know more about what will be announced very soon.
Expect some Hobbit mania this holiday season. We wouldn’t have it any other way. “My precious…”
