Lemmings Touch Coming to PlayStation Vita

Those crazy little workers are back.

If you’re an old-school gamer – like us – then you’ll remember Psygnosis’ Lemmings, a humorous, addictive puzzle series where you guide crazy little creatures from point A to point B. Along the way, you’d need to utilize their abilities, digging through floors and avoiding traps, to get them there.

Today, the developers at d3t Ltd announced it is working on a new game in the series specifically for the PS Vita, titled Lemmings Touch. In it, you’ll use the system’s touchscreen capabilities to guide your army of helpful workers, assigning duties and pointing them in the right direction to reach the exit. A pop-up radial menu makes it simple to decide who does what – as long as they don’t drop off the edge. They are lemmings, after all.

The game will also see some interesting level designs, ones that take the Lemmings through such places as a candy land – where they can literally eat their way out – and outer space. The developers have already promised to reveal more stages as the game progresses.

Lemmings Touch should appear in 2014. In the meantime, be sure to check out d3t Ltd.’s Lemmings game for PlayStation Mobile, which is available now.
