Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC Release Date Set, New Details Revealed

A new trailer has released and along with some new details we even have a release window.

E3 never lets up and despite the fact that the Square Enix conference isn’t until tomorrow we’ve had a Kingdom Hearts III announcement. Coming in the form of a trailer, we finally have a look at the DLC for Kingdom Hearts 3, which released back in January of this year. The trailer shows some characters in the Organisation XIII coats chatting to each other via huge captions about the cloaks they are wearing and the tasks they have to undertake.

This really hints at the DLC being set sometime near the end of the game if not slightly after it. After all, the ending of KHIII has a few characters talking to each other about shadowy things and all of the complexities you would expect of the game, but all while wearing these same cloaks.

The trailer also shows us footage of Riku, Roxas, and Aqua all of whom are fighting using the traditional bombastic combat style you would expect of the game. All three of these would be new playable characters for this particular entry, and all three of them are shown to be fighting in what appears to be the games final area, the Keyblade Graveyard.

Along with these new details, we even get a release window of winter this year. That means we can expect to be seeing how this part of the story plays out before the end of the year, which is good news for fans of the series. An exact date hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’s certainly possible we could see one at either Microsoft’s conference or the Square Enix conference. We will keep you updated either way.
