We love the trailer announcer

During today’s adorable, little PlayStation State of Play showcase, SNK made an appearance to reveal a new character. During the reveal trailer for Dolores, who fights right in with the fashion-conscious roster by the way, an upcoming open beta test was also announced. While the full game isn’t coming until February, next month’s open beta contains a few more features than what you may expect.

Generally speaking, the first test runs for fighting games almost always come with online fights and nothing else (there are exceptions, don’t sue me). For King of Fighters XV, multiple options will be available including casual and room matches and an offline training mode. Eight characters will also be available, including our new friend Dolores.

The rest of the open beta roster includes:

  • Shermie
  • Chris
  • Yashiro
  • Shun’ei
  • Kyo
  • Iori
  • Chizuru

The King of Fighters XV open beta test will run from November 19 to 22, on both the PlayStation 4 and PS5.
