Have you ever thought that you’re signed up for too many duties with a company? Like you’re in charge of the writing and editing and directing and catering and such? Well, while the pay might be good, there might also be too much to the job, requiring you to drop some of the workload. That’s about how Sony president Kaz Hirai feels right now.
In a brief released by Sony, it was announced that Kaz Hirai has dropped both his responsibilities and titles as representative director and chairman of Sony Corp., meaning he will only remain with the company in a “part-time capacity”. Curiously enough, however, he will remain company president and CEO for Sony Corporation, so maybe it’s not too much of a part-time cutback.
That said, we’re glad to see Kaz sticking around for at least something.
