Just Cause developer Avalanche has revealed a few details on its current projects, it’s an open-world action game in conjunction with Square Enix.
Square Enix were responsible for publishing the last two Just Cause titles, meaning it’s certainly a possibility this could be the next.
The news was broken in an email sent to Eurogamer earlier this morning, in which the Swedish dev revealed it was ramping up work across a host of games for current and next-gen projects due for release in both 2013 and 2014.
The developer described the open world game as “ground breaking” and an “action title”. Rumors of the existence of Just Cause 3 have been flying around for a while now, though there’s still no official word. Will it be current gen or next?
The email also revealed news that the team is hard at work on some top secret projects based on movie and comic book IP. There’s a lot of talk of one of these projects possibly being based on upcoming title Mad Max 4: Fury Road.
