When the Jak and Daxter Collection arrived on PlayStation 3 a few months back, it was a welcome return to a franchise that Naughty Dog managed to iron out so well before moving on to Uncharted and The Last of Us territory. If you missed out on it or prefer the portable wares of the PS Vita, you’ll get your chance to rediscover it soon enough.
Sony Computer Entertainment of America has announced that the Jak and Daxter Collection will be released for the PS Vita this June. The compilation will include three classic Jak adventures – Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II and Jak 3 in one convenient package complete with high-definition visuals. Each game will have its own set of Trophies to earn, as well as special mini-games that will take advantage of the PS Vita touch-screen.
We’ll have a closer look at Jak and Daxter Collection in the weeks ahead, but here’s hoping this is just the beginning for compilations on-the-go. We want Ico/Shadow of the Colossus for the handheld system something fierce.
