So you’re probably bummed out that PAX Prime has already sold out of tickets. But should you be surprised? It’s easily one of the most popular shows out there, with thousands of attendees hitting up the show floor. But we digress. Still, there are other things you can do.
The GameStop EXPO 2012, a show that was originally help just for GameStop employees to kick back and talk everything, er, GameStop, has officially opened to the public. The show will take place on August 29 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX.
The event will feature early hands-on with numerous games (not yet listed), along with chances to score prizes and the chance to meet with “top video publishers and special guests”. (Again, they aren’t officially listed.)
The show requires you to be a PowerUp Rewards member (there’s always a catch) and pay $35 for the admission fee, or you can fork over $100 for VIP access, which will provide “up to four in-depth sessions with some of the biggest names in gaming, access to VIP-only lines and entrance to the VIP gaming lounge”.
