PS Plus May 2020 Lineup

The free PS Plus May 2020 games lineup comes with Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 19. This particular lineup does make sense if you squint one eye and close the other in relation to Earth Day having come and gone recently, though it’s certainly not one many expected to see. While free games are nothing to scoff at, there’s no risk to get them – just download and uninstall if you don’t like, a lot of PlayStation fans have been growing increasingly frustrated with the free game options, citing that a monthly declination has been seen regarding what Sony is offering up.

As for what each title has to offer:

Cities: Skylines

Cities: Skylines in a more modern take on the usual city simulation experience while offering players a chance to feel the roller coaster of emotions when it comes to city planning: the elation of a job well done, the hardships associated with making it all come together – it’s an experience that relies heavily on realism in terms of city development.

Farming Simulator 19

You farm things and then go brrrrrr. Or, on a more serious note, Farming Simulator 19 continues the long-standing franchise with updated graphics for the most complete farming experience to-date outside of being on an actual farm. Take control of powerful machines and create a farm experience to be proud of. Now with this-gen graphics!

Sony used to offer four free games a month, including Vita and PlayStation 3 titles, but later removed that option in favor of keeping up with the current generation. With only two offered now and the price of the membership staying the same, many are growing frustrated with the lack of highly desired titles or old titles being offered up. While the latter may be true, it’s important to remember that they are rotating to not offer the same deal twice and there is only so many options out there. That being said, there are a lot of other obstacles as well in terms of what can be freely given and what can’t and sometimes those old favorites can be brand new experiences for some.

For those that have the PlayStation Plus membership, the PS Plus May 2020 lineup is yours to keep for as long as that membership stays active. Once that membership runs out, Sony then removes those downloads from your library and they will be made inaccessible, so make sure to keep that service going to a avoid library disruption.

What do you think about the PS Plus May 2020 lineup and the months leading up to this? Do you think Sony should lower the membership costs with the cuts made over the past year to the benefits of this membership, or are you just thankful to get monthly free games?
