Fortnite’s Solo Showdown Limited Time Mode is back for Season 5. The competitive LTM went live today, July 27. Unlike other temporary game modes in Fortnite, the Solo Showdown LTM doesn’t experiment with any drastic changes to the core gameplay mechanics. Instead, Solo Showdown offers a means for players to show their skills in Solo mode and compete for various in-game prizes.
This time around, the top players in the Solo Showdown LTM will have a chance to compete in a future Summer Skirmish, which is part of Epic’s latest series of competitive esports events and tournaments.
Solo Showdown Rewards
Participants who place within the top 100 players in each region will be awarded V-Bucks for their performance. The first 25 matches are what determine your overall Solo Showdown score and placement, so be sure to make those first 25 matches count. Here’s how the Solo Showdown LTM awards break down:
- 1st Place: 50,000 V-Bucks
- 2nd – 4th Place: 25,000 V-Bucks
- 5th – 50th Place: 13,500 V-Bucks
- 51st – 100th Place: 7,500 V-Bucks
Solo Showdown End Time and Winners
Fortnite’s Solo Showdown LTM is available now and will end on Monday, July 30 at 10:00 am ET. Once the current Solo Showdown LTM ends, players can see their placement on the official Solo Showdown rankings page on the Epic Games blog, where you can also view the official rules for the event.
If you don’t plan on competing in the latest Solo Showdown LTM, then at least consider finishing up your Season 5 weekly challenges as well as the Birthday Challenges to unlock some exclusive cosmetic items in Fortnite.
