When it was re-released for PS3 (and for the first time on PlayStation Vita) earlier this year, Zen Pinball 2 made quite an impact for Zen Studios, featuring a wide assortment of tables, both regular and Marvel Comics related, for fans to enjoy. Now it’s Nintendo’s turn, as the company has announced that the game is just about ready to go for the Wii U.
Zen Pinball 2 is set to arrive on the Wii U eShop sometime this month (possibly before Christmas). The initial app, like other platforms, will be free of charge, and you’ll be able to try tables out before you buy them. Though pricing hasn’t been set yet, we’re guessing they’ll be around $3 a pop, just like in the other games. “We cannot yet say how much the tables are, but you can expect pricing in line with what we have offered in the past,” confirmed Zen’s Mel Kirk.
The compilation will feature a number of releases on day one, with plenty more to come. These include Earth Defense, Sorcerer’s Lair, Paranormal, Plants vs. Zombies, Epic Quest, Excalibur and Marvel favorites like Captain America and Fantastic Four. They’ll feature leaderboard support, as well as gameplay directly on your GamePad, if you prefer.
