"One Wasteland" is some very strong 2020 branding energy.

Fallout 76 gets a new patch today that adds loads of new content. First and foremost, it allows players to team up and fight monsters despite a level disparity between you and your squad. This new system is titled “One Wasteland” which works very similarly to The Elder Scrolls Online’s system called “One Tamriel.” Simply put, level no longer blocks your ability to play with friends or explore higher-level areas of the wasteland.

That’s not all! This update also kicks off the next season of content for Fallout 76. The PlayStation Blog dives a little deeper into what exactly players can expect from this new season.

“Season 2 kicks off with the arrival of Patch 22, and it’s bringing a host of updates and enhancements to the Seasons system, as well as a new S.C.O.R.E.board and new rewards! In Season 2, you’ll join the Armor Ace and the Power Patrol as they face off against the Subjugator and his army of Red Viper minions. Help lead the charge against the oppressive Vipers and fight for Liberty as you rank up over the following 10-weeks. As with Season 1, each time you rank up, you’ll receive rewards like themed cosmetics, C.A.M.P. items, in-game currencies, Perk Card Packs and more.”

Players will be able to purchase ranks using Atoms right from the get-go if they want a little boost getting these cosmetics. Items from last season like Lunchboxes, The Ammo Converter, and the Chicken Coop will be available from gold bullet vendors.

On top of a new season, Fallout 76 is also getting a new game mode titled “Daily Ops.” This system allows players to face randomized waves of enemies in the various dungeons around West Virginia.

The blog also goes into more detail about what makes this mode exciting for new and seasoned players.

“Each week, a dungeon will be promoted to the ‘Daily Op’ and each day a new Enemy Mutation will be applied to that dungeon. Enemy Mutations are another new system that provides an enemy parallel for player mutations. For example, an Enemy Mutation might make an enemy explode on death or be cloaked when it’s not attacking you.  When coupled with the changing objectives, this will create a fresh and exciting experience for players to return to.”

That’s a lot of new content to try out, and it’s all available right now!
