Evo 2017 Game Lineup Revealed

The powers that be have given fighting game fans a look at the lineup for Evolution 2017.

Every year thousands of fighting game fans converge on Las Vegas, Nevada for the Evolution Fighting Game Championship (Evo). Last night, the official Evo 2017 game lineup was revealed via a live stream on the Red Bull eSports Twitch channel. Fighting game fans should be pleased as almost every type of fighting game is represented.

Evo 2017 Game Lineup

The lineup for Evo 2017 includes Street Fighter 5, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Injustice 2, Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, BlazBlue: Central Fiction and The King of Fighters 14. In addition to these eight games, fans can choose the ninth and final title by donating to Make-a-Wish International. Evo offered a similar option back in 2013 where the game with the largest donation was given the final spot in the tournament, and that competition is returning again for 2017.

There are nine games in contention for the final Evo spot, which include Mortal Kombat XL, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Skullgirls, Pokken Tournament, Killer Instinct, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, ARMS, Windjammers and Nidhogg. Fans can head over to Generosity.com and donate toward Make-a-Wish International to cast their vote. The donation drive end on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 so make sure you get your donations in.

Evolution 2017 takes place July 14-16 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV. Registration is live right now and you can book your hotel in advance as well.
