It was predicted in a video game, so it must be true, right?
According to the yearly simulation done by the NHL 15 team, the Los Angeles Kings will win the Stanley Cup at the end of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, defeating the Eastern Conference power-house, Boston Bruins. If the simulation holds true, this will be the third title in four years for the Kings, making them a proper dynasty team.
The predictions don’t stop there, however, as the simulation also has Anze Kopitar winning the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player to his team in the post-season, and Sidney Crosby running away with the Hart Memorial Trophy, Art Ross Trophy, Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy, and the Ted Lindsay Award. Not a bad haul .
You can check out the simulation video below, but also be sure to hit us up in the comments. Do you think the Los Angeles Kings will be the 2015 Stanley Cup Champions?
