Dying Light is Getting a Rust Crossover Event

You won’t want to miss this event and its free Rust Bundle.

Dying Light developer Techland shared some exciting news today about a brand new crossover event featuring the massively popular survival game Rust. For a limited time, Dying Light players on PC can enjoy Rust-themed weapons and goodies including a free Rust Bundle!

Dying Light is Getting a Rust Crossover Event

Looking for a reason to jump into Dying Light this week? Well, a Rust crossover event is live right now on Dying Light on PC!

The crossover event will run from now, April 19, until April 26 at 10:00 a.m. (PDT). During the crossover event, Dying Light players on PC can expect Rust-themed weapons and skins, along with a free Rust Bundle. 

“The Rust crossover event invites players to channel their inner survivalist. Get to grips with new Rust-themed weapons and skins, go toe-to-toe with a new human enemy type, and earn exclusive rewards by braving in-game challenges,” the press release from Techland explains.

“As the event begins, all players will gain access to the free Rust Bundle, including Rust-themed Player and Buggy Skins alongside a Rust Assault Rifle, Custom SMG and Salvaged Cleaver. Complete Research Bounties locally by collecting resources and earn Gold Blueprint upgrades to the Rust weapon set.”

To give these weapons a test run, Dying Light will reportedly have an, “Increased enemy presence, including both bandits and zombies, in Slums and Old Town.” You’ll also be able to encounter Rust Outpost Scientists and a new Bucket Helmet zombie type. 

Along with activities you can enjoy on your own, there will also be a collaborative community element to the Rust crossover event. According the the press release: 

“The global Dying Light community can collaboratively gain access to Gold Fire, Gold Freezing and Gold Poison C4 Dockets by hunting down Air Drops, raiding two new Rais’ Outposts and eliminating bandits.”

All in all, this sounds like a really cool event for Dying Light players and Rust fans alike. Plus, it’s free so there’s no risk in checking it out and snagging your free Rust Bundle while the crossover event is live.
