Lunarcon, the fan-made FFXIV convention that takes place in-game and features a plethora of activities for players to engage with, is back for its annual celebration. The completely free convention includes musical performances by the Songbirds, panels, cosplay competitions, and more, making it one of the hottest destinations in Eorzea during its weekend duration.
Lunarcon runs this year from September 29 to October 1, 2023, and the schedule is packed. The convention also raises money for charity through Extralife, and players can donate to the cause through Lunarcon’s website. Before traveling, you can also check out the full schedule, FAQ, and other important information.
If you can’t make it out to the Crystal Datacenter, you can join the community’s Discord and Twitch streams to experience all of the programming for yourself. However, if you do wish to travel over the main con hall on Coeurl, you can. Just double-check beforehand, as the server will likely be jam-packed with other players making their way in. Even in an online convention, you’ll still want to get there early. I attended last year, and it took me quite a bit of time to get in on Saturday, which is the biggest day of the convention.
Below, you can find just a glimpse at what day one offers attendees.
Put on your best glamour, grab a couple of your friends, and head on over to Lunarcon for a weekend filled with FFXIV with other fans and players. Everything is made and done by the community and it is easily one of the largest community in-game events players participate in each year.
