Though some video game fans may not be familiar with the Academy of Interactive Arts & Science’s yearly DICE Summit, it’s the go-to place for developers, publishers and those savvy within our fine industry. Each year it draws a number of big names, and the upcoming 2013 event is no exception.
The AIAS has announced that the DICE 2013 event will be taking place on February 5-8, with the Interactive Achievement Awards being given out on February 7th. In addition to drawing many big names, the show already has a couple of speakers, including Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford and thatgamecompany’s own Jenova Chen.
Is there anything different about this year’s event? Actually, yes. Instead of being held in its usual spot at the Red Rock Hotel (a few miles off the strip), it’s actually going to be closer to the central Las Vegas area. This year’s event will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino – so expect a huge packed party.
