For players craving a good challenge in Destiny, Bungie has great news.
In a much detailed blog post, Bungie lead raid designer Gavin Irby explained what players can expect from the latest update to Destiny: The Taken King – and this includes something fans will love if they think the game is too easy.
The Challenge Modes added to the game will provide a much harder difficulty increase for the already involving King’s Fall Raid, which will force players to confront raid bosses in a “very specific manner,” and without dying, of course.
The mode is available in both normal and hard difficulties, and will offer refreshes on a weekly basis, although Irby didn’t quite go into detail on what kind of obstacles need to be overcome.
“Early in December, one of the King’s Fall bosses will offer their challenge each week. You’ll see which boss when you select the Raid in the Director,” Irby said. “It will display next to a skull, just like one of our Nightfall modifiers. They work on both normal and hard mode, and offer rewards to match.”
Although the challenge modes don’t have a release date, they’re likely to launch sometime this month, perhaps even as soon as December 8th. An announcement and reveal could come as soon as this weekend’s PlayStation Experience event, since Activision will be in attendance.
So…who’s up for that Challenge?
