The high-profile franchise has become a video game phenomenon and is showing no signs of slowing down.

There is no denying the Destiny franchise has become one of the most popular in the world of video games following vanilla Destiny’s launch on September 9th, 2014. Fast Forward five years to today and the franchise has evolved in a whole array of ways that include multiple expansions and a full-blown sequel. The Destiny community has become one of the largest and most passionate in the video game world, and plenty of popular content creators have grown full-time careers out of their work with Destiny. With there being so much to celebrate and look back on, the Destiny community has been in full force when it comes to celebrating the fifth anniversary of the franchise’s existence on September 9th, 2019.

There is also the official launch of Destiny 2: New Light to look forward to where the popular franchise will become free-to-play and allow for even more Guardians to be created and enjoy the labor of love Bungie has been building over the past five years.
