This was inevitable.

Destiny 2’s Shadowkeep officially kicks off a “new era” for the futuristic MMO. With more weapons, a much darker narrative, cross-save, and new missions for players to take on – there’s a lot of reasons to don those Guardian boots once more and get into the fight. Though the expansion doesn’t arrive until later this year, the team over at Bungie has already begun adding new content in – including one that unabashedly pays tribute to our beloved Dragon Ball Z.

Destiny 2 meet anime because the new emote is undoubtedly a Dragon Ball Z tribute, no matter what the official title of it may be. The “link up” emote is … let’s be real … a fusion dance and, as expected, requires two players to flawlessly execute. Is it an exact replica? Well, no, but it’s close enough to not be a mere coincidence.

For those that might be new to the world of Dragon Ball, Fusion is a process of combining the attributes of two or more beings into one epic form. This creates an unbelievably epic level of power for a character! The Fusion process has been seen quite a few times throughout the entire history of Dragon Ball, and as a super fan, it’s pretty awesome to see this move invade Destin 2.

As for the game itself, Destiny 2 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC with Shadowkeep is officially dropping on September 17 with pre-orders now available!
