Destiny 2 Adds Updated Outbreak Prime As New Exotic

There's a secret quest with a shiny Outbreak Prime waiting for Destiny 2 players.

Though The Revelry has disappeared from Destiny 2, Bungie did just push a new update for the game that adds a new quest for the chance at a new Exotic – an Exotic that we think other long-time Destiny fans will be excited for.

The latest update offers an updated version of Rise of Iron’s Outbreak Prime, which has been rebranded as the Outbreak Perfected. A fan favourite weapon, the changes to this pulse rifle makes it an Exotic worth fighting for. Instead of excreting SIVA nanites upon a landed headshot, it increases damage done to enemies depending on the number of nanites that they have attached to them.

In order to get this swanky Exotic, players must have first played through Lost Sectors, find Fallen Transponders, and then heading back to the Old Tower to sign up for a 690 Power Level mission. The newest mission is called Zero Hour, allowing players to fight alongside Mithrax. Be prepared though, the enemies are tough and this quest will really make players test their skills. But that’s what we like, right? It wouldn’t be fun if it was an easy ride!

As for the game itself, Destiny 2 is now available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Though Destiny 2 had a very rough year one launch, the release of Forsaken gave players exactly what they were wanting. The previous expansion was to the sequel as The Taken King was to the first game. With a third title reportedly in the works, we’re hoping Bungie has learned from past mistakes and can jump off the future of the franchise on a much more positive note.
