Jason Graves has been composing quality music over the past few years for various games, including Blazing Angels 2, Star Trek: Legacy, Dead Head Fred and, most recently, the Dead Space games, creating an unmatchable tension that few soundtracks can live up to.  And now he’s ready to tackle another big project – the forthcoming reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise.

In the latest episode of the web series Tomb Raider: The Final Hours, Square Enix announced that Graves has signed on to handle the soundtrack for the forthcoming game, capturing every bit of tension that she’s going through while she fights for survival against dangerous enemies, both human and animal.

We’ve included a video below where Graves talks more about his involvement in the project and finding the right tone for Lara’s latest adventure.  The first track from the game, “Alone”, is already available for listening on his website: http://www.jasongraves.com.

Tomb Raider arrives in stores on March 5th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
