What seems to be Dead Space 3’s first screenshot and logo have appeared online.

The shot features a character in a familiar armor suit propelling themselves through what appears to be the orbit of a planet. It looks like there’s either space debris, satellites or ships in the distance and HUD graphics appear on the back of the character, a hallmark of Dead Space.

The image was spotted by VG247 and seems to come from EA’s mini-site for the series, which is showing a countdown in a Dead Space alien language. After translation, the numbers point in the direction of Monday, when EA are holding an E3 press conference.

Yesterday saw the release of a Dead Space graphic novel short (see below), which also seems to point towards Dead Space 3.

Dead Space 3 has been pointed to by several leaks over the last year, which have hinted at an ice planet, an end to Isaac Clarke’s story and a drop-in, drop-out co-op feature. There’ll be more on the matter at E3 next week.
