Will we see remasters of Crysis 2 and 3? Hint, we will, and you’ll be able to grab all three Crysis remasters as a packaged set!

Crysis 2 and 3 Part of a Newly Announced Remastered Trilogy

We thoroughly enjoyed Crysis Remastered after its release back in September of 2020, and when talk of remastering Crysis 2 popped up recently, we found ourselves hoping for more of that Crysis Remastered energy (or just new Crysis news in general).

It looks like our wish was granted as not only are we getting a remaster of Crysis 2 as previously hinted at by Crytek on social media, we’re actually getting a full remastered trilogy. That’s right, it’s official, Crysis 2 and 3 are getting the remaster treatment

The news regarding the Crysis Remastered Trilogy first emerged today via a trailer posted to the Crysis YouTube channel. The trailer comes in at just under two minutes in length and shows Crysis Remastered before expanding out with footage of Crysis 2 and 3 in their remastered states.

Visually, the remastered games look stunning. While it’s true that the original Crysis 2 holds up incredibly well to this day, we can’t help but admire the footage of Crysis 2 (and 3) remastered. We just want to get in there and experience these remastered games firsthand, they look so good!

Adding to the Crysis Remastered Trilogy announcement trailer, a news post was shared by Crytek that contains a release window and information about what comes packaged with the Crysis Remastered Trilogy. According to Crytek, the Crysis Remastered Trilogy will be available later this year within the Fall 2021 release window.

“Crytek today announced that the Crysis Remastered Trilogy will launch for consoles and PC this fall. The Crysis Remastered Trilogy features the single-player remasters of Crysis, Crysis 2, and Crysis 3, optimized in partnership with Saber Interactive for today’s consoles and PC hardware.

The three-game bundle will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and for PC, with the game playing even smoother on next gen PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Crysis Remastered is available for these platforms now, and the remasters of Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 will also be made available separately.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy will give players not familiar with the franchise to be able to play through the whole storyline from the very beginning with this all-in-one bundle.

Players will be transported through North Korean islands, to New York City where they’ll have to save humanity from a deadly virus, to the finale where they’ll be on a revenge mission to uncover the truth about C.E.L.L.”
