In addition to more on the Contra Anniversary Collection, Nintendo also revealed their newest entry with Contra Rogue Corps for Nintendo Switch during their E3 showcase. Not only is it coming this year, but it’s coming with all of the bells and whistles that we’ve got to know and love about this classic franchise.

Run and gun, stay alive, and deal the max amount of damage you can manage. You know, in perfect Contra style. The only difference is that this time it’s not the usual side-scrolling experience we’ve grown up with, instead it’s heading more into a top-down perspective. As a huge fan of Contra 3: Alien Wars, this move is perfect and honestly – this looks beyond amazing for long-time retro fans.

Contra Rogue Corps drops on September 24th for Nintendo Switch, with the Anniversary Collection available now.
