Just a few more months to go before gamers all over the world can dive right into Night City’s grime and crime when Cyberpunk 2077 finally arrives! While it was disappointing to see the game’s launch delayed past its original March release date, we know that the decision was right to make sure Cyberpunk 2077 is the very best version it can be by the time it launches. In the meantime, the studio has given interested fans one more tid-bit to chew on with the reveal of one of the most powerful gangs we’ll meet with our time in Night City: the Valentinos.

The team took to the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter to share a first look at one of the biggest gangs Night City has to offer, a microcosm that is built on a deadly sense of loyalty and justice and it definitely seems like the Valentinos would be a great ally and a terrible enemy:

Fans were interested immediately and while the conversation was titillating, there was one response from the studio that confirmed a question that has been floating around for a while now: can V join a gang? According to one response to a fan, “V won’t be able to join any gang, however, people don’t have to be Latino to join the Valentinos.”

It will be interesting to see more of Night City and the groups that run the show. The in-game city is riddled with crime and perpetual thirst for power as players transform into V, a person that literally personifies ‘we started from the bottom now we’re here.’ In order to scale the ranks of the Night City power structure, V must know the inner workings of the social chain like the back of their hand.

CD Projekt RED has talked about Night City quite a bit since they first revealed their latest RPG. With every building being explorable, every corner hiding a secret, these neon-laden landscape hides danger, adventure, and even love with romance options. The team has also mentioned that Night City is bred on violence so much so that it’s almost a religion, and physical brutality is the norm. It will certainly be interesting to see how each faction evolves depending on V’s actions in-game, especially since so much can be shaped by key choices by the main character.

We will be able to meet the Valentinos and other gangs soon enough when Cyberpunk 2077 launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on September 17, 2020 pending no further delays due to COVID-19.
