Earlier this month we shared a report that there are four new Call of Duty games in the works for 2020 and 2021, among them being the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered edition. Now it looks like we might be closer to a reveal because a new ratings listed has been spotted for the game and this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered rated.
The first time we saw a rating for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered was back in 2018 and then again in 2019 with the PEGI rating. The latest rating spotted is thanks to the South Korean Rating and Administrating Committee and keen Redditors were on the case:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered has been rated from r/Games
The above rating doesn’t have a release date but it does show the game’s campaign. The Modern Warfare 2 remastered leak is nothing new, numerous leaks and even conversations from the devs themselves have suggested that this is on the way. That and the community has been wildly vocal about wanted to see this particular entry remastered. That, and the ESRB accidentally leaked it as well, so at this point, we’re just waiting on official confirmation.
As with all leaks that we report, take everything seen above with a grain of salt. No matter how much evidence something has or how many leaks support it, always wait until there is official confirmation from the studio itself before taking something like this at face value. Hopefully, that confirmation will be soon.
Are you excited for a potential Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered experience, or would you rather the team focus on something new entirely? What if it was similar to how the original Modern Warfare was rebooted, would that be enough to get you interested? Sound off with your thoughts over on Twitter @PrimaGames!
