Over the past 24 hours or so, Treyarch and Activision have been sending out teaser images of the Blackout map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to various streamers and content creators. The teasers mostly consisted top-down sections of the Blackout map that fit together like puzzle pieces. Luckily, there’s no need to parse the images together yourself. Today, Activision finally revealed the full Blackout map for Black Ops 4’s upcoming battle royale mode, less than a week out from the start of the Blackout beta.
The Black Ops 4 Blackout map includes named locations referencing iconic maps from throughout the Call of Duty series, such as Firing Range, Asylum, and Nuketown Island. You can check out the full Blackout map in the image below.
A recent report has also revealed the player count for the upcoming Blackout mode. According to GameInformer, Blackout mode will host up to 80 players in the beta, which begins on September 10 for PlayStation 4 players. While typical battle royale games consist of 100-player lobbies, 80 players is still quite impressive considering it is the highest player count of any Call of Duty game.
