Well, the original plan was for Activision and Sledgehammer Games to unveil its latest Call of Duty game on May 4th. However, due to an early leak (which Destructoid posted in its entirely earlier this evening), the companies have gone ahead and confirmed the next title in the series. Say hello to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
As indicated previously, the game will center around PMC’s, or Private Military Contractors. You work for one team in particular, utilizing such equipment as gravity gloves (to help you climb buildings), overbikes and exo rocket suits. The trailer, featured below, shows some of this gameplay in action.
On top of that, Kevin Spacey, who was hinted for a role through a video on Instagram earlier today, has been confirmed as the leader in the game, a ruthless man who will stop at nothing to topple the American government.
Advanced Warfare will once again feature a huge single player campaign, along with the trademark multiplayer that the series has become known for. More details are expected to be available next month during the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will arrive on November 4, 2014. There’s no word yet on release platforms, but Xbox One is confirmed, and PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are more than likely.
Look for more details in the weeks ahead!
