Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition was officially unveiled during the Limited Run Games 2024 Showcase, confirming its release for multiple platforms including PC. Fans of the original were rightfully concerned because of Ubisoft’s recent release pattern where the Epic Games Store would have platform exclusivity on PC. Thankfully that isn’t the case with Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition, which is launching day one on Steam.

Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition Steam Release Confirmed

The confirmation for the Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition Steam release comes directly from the official Twitter/X account of Beyond Good and Evil.

They also confirmed that the digital version will be priced at 20€/$20 across all platforms. Additionally, if fans are interested in the original PC version, which was recently delisted from Steam, that can still be purchased through GOG, or the Ubisoft Store. It’s also part of the Ubisoft+ catalog, which is their monthly subscription.

Finally, the remaster is being handled by Ubisoft and Virtuous Games who are also helping with the upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid Delta.

Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition Release Date

The game is coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, PS5, and the Nintendo Switch on June 25, 2024.

The Twitter/X thread also confirmed that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development, which is probably the only major confirmation we’ve heard about the title in a while. Furthermore, the remaster of Beyond Good & Evil will also contain a new mission that will bridge the gap between both entries.

We’re glad to see that Ubisoft is releasing the title on Steam, especially after delisting the original. While it’s likely not going to be the case for other upcoming Ubisoft titles, it’s encouraging that their recent titles like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown are ending up on the platform in shorter periods than before.
