DICE studio, one of EA’s studios, has released a date for the beta for Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
The beta will become available to users on 28th January until 25th February.
There’ll be one map available for play, Port Valdez, allowing up to 32 players in one game mode-Rush. The objective in the beta is to either protect, as Alaskans, or destroy, if you play as the Russians, a stash of oil supplies.
If you’d like to get involved, then you’ll need to pre-order a copy of the game from the EA Store.
A Steam beta is apparently in the process of being prepared for play but apparently isn’t yet fully confirmed according to a blog post from DICE. No public server files or mod tools will be available for use on the beta.
There will, however, be dedicated servers for the PC release.
