Back 4 Blood Roadmap Outlines New Content & Brand New Co-Op Mode

Check out the plans for 2021 and beyond.

Back 4 Blood was released last month, and plenty of fans hopped in to slay Ridden and save Fort Hope from domination. Today, Turtle Rock announced the upcoming roadmap for what players can expect over the next couple of months.

The biggest addition is obviously the first expansion, “Tunnels of Terror” which will release in 2022. The expansion brings new Cleaners, story content, Ridden types, weapons, and more. You’ll only have access to this expansion if you’ve purchased the Annual Pass for $40 or if you own either the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions.

If you’ve been playing Back 4 Blood on Xbox Gamepass, you’ll need to pick up the Annual Pass in order to access “Tunnels or Terror” and the other two expansions slated for 2022.

What about the free updates though? Well, Turtle Rock has also outlined that as well. This month Back 4 Blood will receive some major bug fixes and quality of life improvements.

Then in December, there will be new Supply Lines, a Ridden practice area for multiplayer, and a Holiday Seasonal Event.

One of the biggest requested features in Back 4 Blood was to have campaign progression when playing in Solo Offline mode, and the December update will bring that for players. This will allow players to finally enjoy an offline experience and make progress throughout the story.

2022 also has a ton of stuff on the way outside of the planned expansions. Players can look forward to a new difficulty option, new Player Cards, a brand-new co-op mode that has not been detailed yet, and more!
