Set in the England Dark Ages, players can opt into taking on the Viking journey as Eivor, male or female, not unlike how Assassin’s Creed Odyssey handled their protagonist selection as well. While the rumors have been stating that this would be the case for over a year now, it’s always nice to have actual confirmation from the studio itself and after seeing the male in the original trailer and the female version in the collector’s edition? Consider us hyped.
There are figures as well for Eivor, with the male version first making its premature appearance over on Amazon:
The above figure also comes with a raider tattoo set code for in the game, making it even easier to customize your viking to your heart’s content!
The world premiere for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla went live earlier today and people can’t stop raving about seeing the Hidden Blade once more as well as the new confirmed setting. A few years ago, Ubisoft made the decision to take a break from annual releases following a decline in the feedback the franchise was receiving. When Syndicate failed to meet the reception expected, the studio took some time to re-evaluate the development process. In doing so, they released Origins and Odyssey, both hailed for their incredibly creative take on the series in its prequel format, and that mini-vacation proved to be exactly what this series needed.
- Ubisoft is reportedly releasing five AAA titles between October 2020 and March 2021
- Even more Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok details leak
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla brings back the hidden blade
We can’t wait to learn even more about the raids, customization, weapons, and more in the coming weeks! For now, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is slated for a holiday 2020 release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Google Stadia. Microsoft also confirmed that the Xbox One version will also work on the Xbox Series X console, so no need to buy twice!
