There’s no question that Animal Crossing: New Leaf is easily one of Nintendo’s most popular games, with its robust community and user-friendly town building system. Today, Nintendo opened up yet another avenue for its community, this time on the Wii U.
In Animal Crossing Plaza, players will be able to meet, interact and exchange information through the Animal Crossing Miiverse community. In addition, they can also take images from New Leaf and share them with others, while also custom designing QR code patterns – with the help of SD cards – and put together albums. The images can then be posted in Miiverse with messages for the entire world to see.
Players can also post about specific animals, in case they want to focus on individual characters like K.K. Slider and other favorites.
The app is free and available for download starting today through the Nintendo eShop. Now all Nintendo needs to do is make a dedicated Animal Crossing game for the Wii U.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf is available now for Nintendo 3DS, both as a physical release and digital download.
