Animal Crossing: New Horizons New Update Coming July 29, More Free Content Planned For Later This Year

In its first year, New Horizons received seasonal events, new items, and most recently a bevy of different Mario and Mushroom Kingdom themed decorations and outfits.

However, things have been quiet around the islands of New Horizons. This morning Nintendo of America tweeted that a free update would be coming to the game on July 29. It will include weekly fireworks shows and new seasonal items.

Nintendo didn’t give any more information on what exactly those new seasonal items will be, but it did confirm something else fans have been wondering.

In a follow-up Tweet, Nintendo announced that more free content will be coming to New Horizons later this year. More information will be shared in the future so fans will just have to wait a bit longer to find out exactly what is planned for release.

Many fans of the series are holding out hope for Brewster’s cafe to return, but Nintendo has not made any mention of everyone’s favorite character return.
