Part of what makes the original 1979 Alien film terrific is the primitive technology. Everything’s crude and bulky, compared to the fancy pieces of equipment that appear in today’s movies. Sega and Creative Assembly will attempt to capture this in the upcoming Alien: Isolation, set to debut later this year.

The goal, as you’ll see in the newest video, is to remain true to the source material, transporting gamers to an environment similar to the doomed Nostomo. The developers call it Lo-fi Sci-fi, and based on the footage, it appears Alien is alive and well in this highly anticipated adventure.
