Sega, the developer of last year’s action game Aliens: Colonial Marines, will return to the series with an all-new entry later this year, Alien: Isolation. This time around, however, the focus will be more on a survival horror experience, which features a new character, Amanda Ripley – the daughter of movie series regular Ellen Ripley. Following her disappearance, Amanda goes looking for her mother to discover the truth.

As we stated above, the game features first-person survival horror elements, so you won’t always have killer weapons on hand to dish out alien justice. You’ll need to stay on your toes as you explore creepy environments and complete mini-games in order to move on. Oh, and watch out for facehuggers. Those things are nasty.

We’ve included a pair of trailers for you, including a developer diary, to watch to get excited about the game, so be sure to check them out – and make sure to hit the lights before you do. It enhances the effect.

Alien: Isolation, under development at the Creative Assembly, will release for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.
