The company has announced that it is working on a new game based on Robert Kirkman’s popular comic book, a first-person shooter that’s being developed by the folks at Terminal Reality.  It’s slated to arrive sometime in 2013.

The game revolves around Daryl Dixon and his brother Merle as they partake on a “haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta.”  Daryl will be the main playable character, and players will have the opportunity to either play with stealth or running in guns blazing on enemies.  Says Activision, “No place is truly safe for Daryl as he makes his way through the Georgia countryside in this new, post-apocalyptic world.”

Along the way, you’ll need to carefully balance supplies and food, while encountering “a slew of other characters”.  Your decisions on these folks “represents just some of the major decisions that will constantly be made while fighting to survive.”

Look for the game on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC next year.
