IO Interactive has released the free Extended Operations DLC for 007 First Light, introducing several new features, including New Game+, a higher “00” difficulty, and the ability to change outfits during the campaign. Most importantly, the update finally adds a proper Photo Mode, which lets you recreate the hilarious Absolute Cinema meme pose.

Yes, You Can Recreate the Absolute Cinema Pose

IO Interactive has included a fairly robust photo mode in 007 First Light with patch 1.3.0, and you can adjust a number of things, including camera settings, FOV, vignette, frames, color, filters, saturation, and even add custom light sources to a shot. The funniest part, though, is the poses, of which there are 22. Pose 21 is particularly special, as it puts James in the “Absolute Cinema” pose, with his hands out to the sides and one leg crossed over the other.

You can also rotate his body and perfectly seat him on most chairs and sofas in the game, with the game sometimes even snapping him neatly into place. It’s hilarious and works pretty much anywhere. If there isn’t a suitable seating surface, he’ll simply stand on one leg with the other crossed over it, which looks completely ridiculous, especially against a random background.

The photo mode lets you go even further, allowing you to change Bond’s facial expression regardless of the pose, while also giving you independent control over each hand. You can switch between different hand poses, such as an open palm, clenched fist, or two raised fingers, for some surprisingly goofy combinations.

More Than Just Photo Mode

The free Extended Operations update adds much more than Photo Mode. New Game+ lets you change Bond’s outfit during missions and swap between unlocked gadgets, while the new “00” difficulty gives returning players a tougher challenge, with enemies spotting you faster and hitting harder, and gadget resources restoring only a fraction of their normal amount.

The update also adds two new TacSim activities, Jungle Heist and Valhalla Protocol, with the latter letting you take the Aston Martin Valhalla for a spin. Patch 1.3.0 also includes various gameplay improvements, including updated weapon-handling animations and hundreds of bug fixes.
