While Enshrouded has a ton of content to consume, games are always better with mods, especially when you have experienced the full game and want something different. However, it has been clear from the developers at Keen Games that they don’t have modding plans for the game until it is complete, which should take some time. This is the main reason why modders aren’t able to provide interesting mods for Enshrouded since they don’t have the kits or support for it. However, some mods still work, and here are 5 of the best ones for Enshrouded in 2024.
How to Install Mods in Enshrouded
The best way to get Enshrouded mods is from NexusMods. It will be your main source of Enshrouded mods, which you can download and install into your game files, with various installation guides for every mod.
Normally, installing mods only requires you to “copy and paste” files from the mod file and into your game file location. Since the developers don’t have mod support for modders until their game is complete, modders have to work their way through the files internally to provide mods for the game. This makes it very limited for them to do anything, so custom models might be a long shot here.
Each mod on the list will have its own installation guide, so it is best to click the mod’s link to the NexusMod page and go to the description tab (which is open by default) to read the installation guide. Some of these may require you to delete crucial files in Enshrouded, so it is best to create a backup for when you make a mistake.

Best Mods to Install in Enshrouded
Fort Resource
Shade’s Fort Resource mod gives you almost all the available resources in the world into one central hub, which is a dream for crafters or builders at any point in the game. There are also some modded weapons and gear, which may push you past the level cap, depending on the update. The mod is for those who want to skip the progression and enjoy building big castles.
Storage World
Naeath’s Storage World mod is almost the same as the Fort Resource map, but you have a preset base with all the resources, weapons, gear, and more. The biggest difference here is you get a character that bypasses the level cap, so you have all the skills available. These first two mods essentially give you everything you want, but if you enjoy crafting and building, you would want Fort Resource, and if you enjoy exploring, you would want Storage World.
Server Level Cap Exp Multiplier CT
Atamg’s Server Level Cap Exp Multiplier CT mod allows you to increase the level cap, the exp multiplier gain, and the maximum stack of items, so you don’t have to worry about building multiple storage chests. This mod is by far the most “tame” out of the mods, especially for those who still want to go through Enshrouded’s progression system. The best quality-of-life feature is the increased stack size, which makes everything compact for any large base.
REVO ReShade v1.0
Revolvere’s REVO ReShade v1.0 mod improves on the shaders of the game. You’ll have much better lightning and some color rebalancing, which is great when traversing different biomes and going into caves and hallowed halls.
Enshrouded Table
sergey979’s Enshrouded Table is basically a “cheat” tool that gives you the tools to do almost anything in the game, such as immortality, unlimited mana, flying, infinite jumps and speed, and more. Since it is a cheating mod, it needs the Cheat Engine to run, so you might want to look that up first if you are thinking of downloading it – mostly for the safety of the games you play.
