Now that we know that Alan Wake is coming to Dead by Daylight, planning the perfect build to take advantage of his skills is extremely important. Let’s jump in and find out what perks are available, and what would make Alan Wake unstoppable.
Best Builds for Alan Wake in Dead by Daylight
With Alan Wake’s primary weapon in his series being his trusty flashlight, you know that he’s bringing plenty of Perks that capitalize on that. However, are his Perks on their own worth your time, or should you expand out into new horizons?
The Adept Build
- Champion of Light – Alan Wake
- Boon: Illumination – Alan Wake
- Deadline – Alan Wake
Starting off, there’s the Adept build. This Build is going to be more for show and to unlock a new Achievement on your platform of choice. Using only Alan Wake’s perks will let you get as accustomed as needed to his powers, and see where they may land when you’re creating your next showcase.
Gotta Go Fast Build
- Background Player – Renato Lyra
- Champion of Light – Alan Wake
- Vigil – Quentin Smith
- Empathy – Claudette Morel
The “Gotta Go Fast” build is going to take advantage of the Champion of Light, primarily. Using other perks like Background Player will allow you to zoom in for a flashlight save like you were a specific blue hedgehog, while Vigil will help give you BGP faster than ever. Empathy rounds this one off, as you’ll have a better chance to see your injured teammates to give them a bit of extra care.
Team Player Build
- Champion of Light – Alan Wake
- Built to Last – Felix Richter
- Off the Record – Zarina Kassir
- Empathy – Claudette Morel
Once again, we’ll be bringing Champion of Light to the forefront with this particular build, and using other perks like Built To Last to keep our Flashlight powered up for longer than ever before. If you’re injured, using Off The Record will allow you the perfect chance to jump in for a Flashlight save, and Empathy keeps you on the up and up for any injured teammates.
The Assist Demon Build
- Deadline – Alan Wake
- Stake Out – David Tapp
- Hyperfocus – Rebecca Chambers
- Deja Vu – General Perk
This is going to be a great build for those who are looking to be a great team player, as Deadline will give you more Skill Checks to complete tasks even faster. Hyperfocus will help you get things done more efficiently, while Stake Out will reward you for playing a little risky. Deja Vu is always a great general perk to have, and with this build, you’ll burn through Generators and Heals faster than you ever have before. This should help prevent any 3-Gen situations with ease.
