If you want to get your hands on the Spiderstep Boots easily in Baldur’s Gate 3, you need to head into the Whispering Depths. The best way to get into the area that leads you to the Spiderstep Boots quickly is via the Well. You can find this in the middle of the Blighted Village. Simply peer down the well, pass a perception check, and head down the hole.

Once you are in the Whispering Depths, make your way into the spider’s lair. Try not to disturb too much down here. The network of webs reacts to everything and acts as a beacon for all the hungry arachnids down there. Head through the tunnel, and take your first left. You will emerge into an area in which someone has obviously been living. A table, chair, and a few other things lie around. Find the chest, and open it up. Inside you will find the Spiderstep Boots in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Their use

The Spiderstep Boots are fantastic in the Whispering Depths. They stop you from feeling the negative effects of walking on the webs that line the tunnels. This will make your battles with the many spiders, including the Phase Spider Matriarch, much easier. Outside of the Whispering Depths, they don’t have all that much use in Baldur’s Gate 3; they’re just a sticky pair of boots.
