How to get Mirror Herb in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Although the Mirror Herb is used a lot in competitive play, it isn’t used too often in competitive battles. There are usually better choices for held items such as the choice items, leftovers, and Eviolite. However, outside of battling, the Mirror Herb can be a game changer especially for team building.

In past games, to teach a Pokémon egg moves you had to use complicated breeding setups. While this did add an extra element to competitive play, it was not user-friendly. Newcomers trying to get into competitive battling would often get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of work that went into creating a team.

However, in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you can use the Mirror Herb to get the same results. First, have the Pokémon you want to learn an egg move hold a Mirror Herb while having a free move slot. Then, have a picnic with that Pokémon and another Pokémon that already knows the desired egg move. Once the picnic is finished, the Pokémon with a free slot will have learned the egg move.

Naturally, to do this method you need a Mirror Herb. To get Mirror Herb, you need to purchase them for $30,000 from the Delibird Presents shop in Cascarrafa city. Cascarrafa city can be found just west of the Paldea Crater. The city’s Delibird Presents shop is in the north-west section of Cascarrafa city close to the Pokémon Center.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet can be purchased on the Nintendo Store.
