The Hinterlands ending
You can obtain this ending as soon as you reach the Stockade.
From the Execution Grounds respite, go right -> right -> climb all the way to the top of the vertical room. You’ll be able to pull a lever that opens a locked gate.
This leads to a zone known as the Hinterlands. There’s also a respite here called Land’s Edge.
If you exit to the right, you’ll discover a field of flowers and a doorway with a serene glow. You can’t go through it, but you can purify the flower.
Once you do this, Lily falls asleep and the White Priestess of the Fount tells her that she doesn’t have to be burdened by these troubles. Lily will then wake up and the Umbral Knight mentions that she should leave. He cannot follow, for he has to honor his pact.
This leads to a screen with a quotation (seen below). You’ll find yourself back at the main menu when this is over. Basically, the ending implies that Lily never truly fulfilled her tasks. She did leave the Blighted kingdom of Land’s End, so it’s up to the Umbral Knight to do what he can.
