Hotly anticipated MMO shooter Planetside 2’s beta test is planet to begin at 2 p.m. PST.
The news arrives via a Tweet from Sony Entertainment Online president John Smedley, which read “Looking like it’s going to be Monday at 2pm for the start of Beta. Still a lot of work to do tomorrow and this weekend but looking good.”
We wouldn’t advise you to get your hopes up too high however, as last week Smedley tweeted “The beta will start next Mon or Tues barring any unforeseen circumstances.” “Unforseen circumstances” were evidently a factor, as it didn’t happen.
Smedley later explained the no-show: “Had planned for today or tomorrow but we have some stuff we need to make sure is awesome.”
The beta is only open to those with a key, though you can sign up over here to apply for one. If you subscribed to the original title then you’ll be in an early testing phase.
