Earning experience in Horizon Zero Dawn is exceptionally easy to do. All you really have to do to earn experience is take down various machines and wildlife along your journey. Completing side quests and main storyline quests will also yield additional rewards alongside experience points. The bigger the machine, the better the experience that Aloy will gain from it. While machines like Striders and Watchers may be easy to take down, they don’t offer the greatest amounts of resources or experience.
Instead, we’d suggest targeting machines like the Stormbird and Thunderjaw. While these creatures will take more time to bring down, the experience gained from each kill is well worth the time and effort required.
How to Level up Quickly
The quickest way to earn experience is to complete quests within the game. There are various amounts of quests that can be completed like destroying bandit camps, fetching items for villagers, and even exploring vast mechanical caves fill with machines called Cauldrons. Main quests themselves will reward the most experience, with some of the later missions granting you upwards of six or seven thousand experience for each step you complete. Of course, the main missions will take you the longest, so be sure to pick up errands and side quests along the way.
Players who want to earn experience quickly in Horizon Zero Dawn should be sure to take down every machine that they come across during their journey around the game’s world. Each enemy you kill rewards you with additional experience, as well as any items that the machine might drop. This makes machine hunting a great way to farm for resources, while also earning experience along the way.
