Since its release last year on 3DS, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Angry Birds Trilogy has sold surprisingly well for both Rovio and Activision, so adding more platforms makes sense.
Activision announced today that it will release Angry Birds Trilogy for both the original Wii as well as the Wii U on August 13th. The game is expected to retail for $39.99.
The package includes three Angry Birds games to choose from – the original, Rio and Seasons – and will feature additional gameplay enhancements for both systems. On the Wii, you’ll be able to use motion controls to launch birds. With the Wii U version, you’ll be able to use the GamePad for precision aiming and can play in off-TV mode. You’ll also be able to access online leaderboards, so you can play along with your friends.
Activision released a new trailer for the game.
